Mauro Rivera, LMT, RMTI, Nurturing Therapeutic Massage

Mauro Rivera graduated from the Scherer Institute in 2006, and earned his RMTI in 2008. He is Certified in Hot Stone Therapy, is a Level II Reiki Practitioner and has completed Scherer's 3 part Teacher Training Course. Hehas been working with the school as a Teaching Assistant in Healing Quality of Touch and Nurturing Therapeutic Massage since graduating, bringing his unique knowledge, humor, and touch to the students. Mauro is a Clinic Supervisor and is also now teaching Nurturing Therapeutic Massage. He has also taught massage in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Mauro, who is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, has owned Angel Hands Bodywork, and worked at El Gancho in the Santa Fe area since 2006. It is Mauro's intention to accomplish relaxation on all levels, body, mind, and spirit, and with the help of his Guides and Angels, he has seen great results with those who are open. He strives to bring the right balance of energy and technical knowledge to meet each client's special needs, using Reiki and Healing Quality of touch to relieve pain, tension and cellular trauma on both superficial and deep muscle tissues, and deep tissue and micro-muscle work to relieve specific injuries around joints, neck, and back in particular. He loves neck work and can easily spend an entire hour working solely on the neck region to help the body heal from such traumas as whiplash.
