Healing Presence: Exploring the Intuitive Pathway

This training will provide a learning environment designed to evoke and develop your innate intuitive language. To cultivate a heightened intuitive capacity that you may apply in your practice, the training will use: Lectures and discussions - Meditations - Improvisational movement - Awareness exercises - Journaling - Energywork demonstrations and exchanges with others.
In this training, you will find ways to access a deeper presence in your work with others and gain tools for listening and responding to the subtle signals of intuition. You will learn about the subtle energetic bodies and how to intuitively address those unique processes in bodywork. You will also learn about the power of intention, and the importance of “trusting the process.” You will also address ethical challenges facing bodyworkers in the area of intuitive awareness and communication.
Awakening intuition requires support and acknowledgment for the role and value intuition offers, whether in daily life, or as it applies to bodywork and massage. You will explore the ways you already embody intuition, and investigate the challenges you have with this faculty. Working together as a group offers a supportive opportunity to find ways in which intuition may be explored and trusted.
Cultivating intuition requires a personal commitment to being aware of yourself, from which an awareness of others and the world may deepen. It is about the potential for cultivating a culture of healing through an intuitive pathway of awakening. As such, this training offers a personal as well as a professional journey, and requires a certain amount of introspective study and reflection.
Each weekend may be taken as an individual course, though it is recommended that you take the entire training if possible.
Courses are open to non-massage therapists with permission from the instructor.

March 27 - November 14, 2010

March 27-28 · The Intuitive Pathway
Saturday and Sunday (9am-6pm - 16hrs)
Fee if taken individually: $240 + tax
This weekend will focus on the Intuitive Pathway as an energetic process and model for working with oneself and others. Students will learn about the Intuitive Pathway theory and be able to demonstrate its applicability within their own lives, and within the context of an energywork session.
May 1– 2 · Healing Presence
Saturday and Sunday (9am-6pm - 16hrs)
Fee if taken individually: $240 + tax
This weekend covers fundamental theories and definitions regarding the nature of vibration and consciousness, presence, healing, and intuition. Students will begin working with processes and practices that help them to develop deeper presence and intuition.
June 19–20 · Subtle Energy Systems - Saturday and Sunday (9am-6pm - 16hrs)

Fee if taken individually: $240 + tax
In this weekend, students will learn about the subtle anatomy of the aura and seven chakras, and other subtle energy systems. Students also learn how to work with presence and intuitive principles, subtle anatomy, and specific vibrational modalities in an energywork session.
August 14–15 · Cultivating Intuition
Saturday and Sunday (9am-6pm - 16hrs)
Fee if taken individually: $255
By learning subtle and concrete signals of intuitive vocabulary, students may deepen their understanding and practice of their own unique intuitive awareness. Students will gain greater understanding and expertise in working with kinesthetic, visual, aural, or other intuitive channels that are accessed in the weekend.
October 15 · Ethics: Intuitive Bodywork Communication -
Friday (6-10pm - 4 hrs)
Fee if taken individually: $64
This course focuses on the ethics of communication and intention in the energywork and intuitive bodywork setting. Students will be able to clearly discuss ethical issues and appropriate behaviors regarding communication, scope of practice, personal boundaries, and intention.
October 16–17 · Intuitive Bodywork
Saturday and Sunday (9am-6pm - 16hrs)
Fee if taken individually: $255
This weekend will focus on applying thepractices and principles of intuition to bodywork and energywork sessions. These sessions will allow students to apply the freedom of physical, emotional and spiritual awareness gained from the previous workshops to bodywork and intuitive exchanges.
November 13–14 · Consciousness in Healing
Saturday and Sunday (9am-6pm - 16hrs)
Fee if taken individually: $255
Deepening awareness of the fundamental nature of consciousness supports the practice of allowing healing presence to infuse our work with others. This weekend will be a time for students to dive into their own experience of expanded consciousness and explore what that means for their lives and work.
Instructor:
Cathy Black began working with healing, massage, and meditation in 1980. She has worked with individuals and groups in Intuitive Massage and Intuitive Healing, including the Healing Quality of Touch at Scherer's in Santa Fe and Taos. She graduated with a Master's degree in Intuitive Healing and Facilitation from Lesley University, and currently focuses her practice and teaching on cultivating healing presence and subtle energy awareness.
